The Men Who Pickled Lenin

Thursday 15 April, 7pm – 8.30pm, FREE

The Space, Nottingham Contemporary

USSR, 1924: With Lenin dead, Stalin looks to fill the power vacuum and tighten his grasp on a Communist future. To create a Bolshevik god under his control, Uncle Joe decrees the corpse must be preserved. Permanently.
The Committee for Immortalization hand the job to scientists Boris Zbarsky and Vladimir Vorobiov. They have one chance to perfect a technique never attempted before. Meanwhile, the world’s first Soviet leader is already starting to rot...

The Men Who Pickled Lenin is a work-in-progress presentation of a unique open-source writing collaboration, devised by Hatch’s Nathaniel J Miller and performed inside the belly of a cosmonaut.

Nottingham Contemporary's programme of talks and discussions is jointly supported by The University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University.
